Kobe Bryant has lead the Los Angeles Lakers to 4 championships and has earned 10 selections for All-NBA teams and 7 for All-Defensive teams. Kobe Bryant has led the NBA in scoring 3 times and has earned 3 All-Star Game MVPs in his 11 appearances. Kobe is also the youngest player to appear in an NBA All-Star game, earning his first appearance in 1998. In 2007-08 Kobe earned his first NBA MVP Award and continues to add achievements every season. Kobe Bryant was jumped straight from high school to the pros. He was drafted in 1996 by the Charlotte Hornets but was then traded to the Lakers for center Vlade Divac. On January 22, 2006 Kobe Bryant scored the second most points ever in an NBA game, scoring 81 points in a game against the Toronto Raptors. In November 2009, Kobe passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the Los Angeles Lakers' all-time scorers list, putting him in second place behind only Jerry West. In 2006 Nike Basketball awarded Kobe Bryant with his first signature shoes, the "Nike Air Zoom Kobe I". Nike introduced them nationwide on February 10, 2006 along with Kobe's signature clothing line. Although Nike Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 and 2K5 were made specifically for Kobe Bryant including a black edition of the 2K5 that was the first shoe to ever include Kobe's Nike logo, they were never considered Kobe's signature shoes, so the Nike Zoom Kobe I are officially the first Nike signature shoes of Kobe Bryant. Kobe first wore his signature shoes for the Lakers-Heat game on Christmas Day 2005 and continued to wear them through the 2005-06 NBA season and in the 2006 playoffs.
